The idea to build a walkway – a daring Tibetan bridge – connecting Campo Tartano with the pastures of Frasnino came about in 2016 and was to follow the model of other successful constructions in Switzerland and Austria. It offers spectacular views of our dear mountains, the saddle of Campo Tartano, the imposing peaks and glaciers of the Rhaetian Alps, the wide, green valley of Tartano, Colombera dam, the fairy-tale pastures of Frasnino, the lower Valtellina which culminates in Lake Como, as well as unforgettable sunsets. Using their own resources, consortium members, inhabitants of the valley and other dear friends, who all share a love of the mountains, made the construction of this great work possible. It will undoubtedly help the community of small, but beautiful, Val Tartano grow. The true spirit of long-standing consortiums – the coming together of the energy of so many people to serve a common purpose – lies in the economic and human effort that was needed to support the bridge's construction.
On Saturdays and Sundays there is a fixed quota for crossings and tickets
may ONLY be purchased online.
Why is there a fixed quota for crossings?
Because our valley is on a human scale and we want it to be so for you too!
